The Short Version

Clapperboard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything runs locally on your Mac.

What We Don't Collect

• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash reports sent automatically
• No account creation required
• No cloud uploads of any kind
• No cookies or web beacons

Screen Recording & Audio

All screen recordings, microphone audio, webcam video, and transcription data are stored locally in ~/Documents/Clapperboard/ on your Mac. Whisper-based subtitle generation runs entirely on-device. No data is sent to any server.

macOS Permissions

Clapperboard requests the following macOS permissions, all of which are used exclusively for local recording:

• Screen Recording — to capture your screen
• Microphone — to record audio with your screen capture
• Camera — for the camera overlay bubble and settings preview

Website

This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not use analytics, cookies, or tracking scripts. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of their infrastructure.
